Pakistan Business Council Sharjah Directors meet and upcoming Khorfakkan event is discussed

SHARJAH (UAE): The Pakistan Business Council Sharjah (PBCS) convened its Directors’ meeting today at Al Nawab Restaurant, Qasimiya, Sharjah, to discuss preparations for the upcoming event at Khorfakkan. The meeting was attended by esteemed members including Dr. S.M. Tahir, Syed Saleem Akhtar, Salman Wisal, Haji Muhammad Yaseen, Khalid Chudhary, Khawar Hussain, Safdar Rasheed, and Muhammad Farooq.
During the session, Syed Saleem Akhtar, Senior Vice Chairman of PBCS, along with Salman Wisal, briefed the directors about the event and shared insights from their recent visit to Khorfakkan. The visit was part of efforts to prepare for the fourth annual Mango Festival, scheduled from June 27th to 29th. This marks Pakistan’s inaugural participation in this prestigious festival, which is expected to attract a significant number of visitors and media attention.
The delegation had a productive discussion with Khalel Al Mansoori, Head of the Branches Department, and Mohammed Ahmed Al Darmaki, Manager of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce, Khorfakkan Branch. Both officials warmly welcomed the Pakistani delegation and assured their full support. They highlighted that over 5,000 visitors are expected daily during the festival, offering a valuable platform for Pakistani mangoes to showcase their quality and boost exports.
The Chamber has generously allocated an ideal location for the Pakistani Pavilion, providing an excellent opportunity for promoting and selling Pakistani mangoes. The delegation expressed appreciation for this support and reaffirmed their commitment to ensuring the success of the event. Additionally, the Pakistan Embassy and the Consulate General’s Office have extended their full backing, emphasizing the importance of strengthening trade relations through this participation.
The festival’s inauguration is anticipated to be attended by distinguished dignitaries, including His Excellency Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, Ambassador of Pakistan to the UAE; His Excellency Hussain Mohammad Khan, Consul General of Pakistan in Sharjah; and Ali Zeb Khan, Trade and Commercial Counselor of Pakistan.
All directors expressed their full support for organizing the Pakistan Pavilion at the festival, reaffirming their dedication to promoting Pakistani produce and fostering bilateral trade relations.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the directors extended their gratitude to Haji Muhammad Yaseen for hosting the gathering in such a gracious manner.
