“Pakistan on the Ropes as Bangladesh Takes Six Wickets for 117 Runs”

At the break, Mohammad Rizwan remained not out on 38, while Salman Agha was on seven. The hosts have a narrow lead of 129 with only four wickets left.

Bangladesh currently leads the two-match series 1-0, having won the first Test in Rawalpindi last week.

This rain-affected Test saw the entire first day washed out, but Bangladesh staged a remarkable comeback on the third day. The visitors were struggling at 26-6 in response to Pakistan’s first-innings score of 274 before Litton Das (138) and Mehidy Hasan Miraz (78) formed a crucial seventh-wicket partnership, adding 165 runs and helping Bangladesh reach 262.

Pakistan, resuming their innings at 9-2, managed to advance to 47-2 in 10 overs on Monday before Bangladesh made a breakthrough, taking three wickets for just 18 runs.

Saim Ayub was dismissed for 20, falling to a brilliant catch by Najmul Hossain at mid-off after failing to keep his drive down off fast bowler Taskin Ahmed.

Nahid then struck by getting Pakistan’s captain Masood caught behind by Das off a wild shot. He followed it up with the prized wicket of Azam, who was caught at slip by Shadman Islam off a sharp delivery in the next over.

Nahid could have had another wicket on the next ball, but Shadman dropped Mohammad Rizwan. However, he claimed his third wicket by dismissing Shakeel, who was also caught behind by Das, ending the session with impressive figures of 3-22 from five overs.
