SHARJAH (UAE): A farewell function was organized to honor Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, the outgoing Ambassador of Pakistan to the United Arab Emirates. The event, held at the Pakistan Social Center Sharjah, was hosted by the center’s President, Chaudhry Khalid Hussain, and his team. Attendees included Consul General Hussain Muhammad, consulate officers, prominent community members, and many others.
The ceremony began with a recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by speeches from various community leaders. Speakers praised Ambassador Tirmizi for his diplomatic service, highlighting his approachability, success in economic diplomacy, and active engagement with the Pakistani community in the UAE. They particularly noted his role in establishing the Sharjah Business Council and his efforts to exceed remittance targets.
In his address, Ambassador Tirmizi emphasized the importance of unity and active participation in achieving goals. He stressed his commitment to enhancing women’s roles in society and business.

He emphasized, “As the ambassador of Pakistan, I have consistently strived to ensure that women should get an important position and role in society. It’s crucial that women become more active in the Pakistan Business Council and the Pakistan Social Center Sharjah.”
Ambassador highlighted the need to address educational challenges for Pakistani children in the UAE. The ambassador also acknowledged the crucial role of Pakistani institutions and the press in maintaining the country’s positive image in the Emirates.
The event concluded with the presentation of a memento to Ambassador Tirmizi by the Pakistan Social Center Sharjah. The ambassador expressed his gratitude for the warm farewell and the memories created during his tenure, promising to maintain connections with the community in his future endeavors.
