On a dark night, India once again tried to create chaos in the region. Using the Pahalgam incident as an excuse, India launched a military operation called “Operation Sindoor.” India claimed it attacked terrorist camps in Pakistan. But the reality was very different. Instead of hitting terrorist camps, Indian forces targeted civilian areas inside Pakistan. As a result, 26 innocent people were killed, including women and children. More than 46 people were injured, and even mosques were damaged. This was not just wrong-it was a clear attack on Pakistan’s sovereignty and a crime under international law. Despite this cruel attack, Pakistan showed great courage and discipline. The Pakistan Air Force (PAF) responded quickly and responsibly. According to DG ISPR Lt. Gen. Ahmed Sharif Chaudhary, the PAF had the chance to destroy 10 Indian jets but showed restraint. Still, Pakistan’s brave pilots shot down five Indian jets-three Rafales, one MiG-29, and one Su-30MKI. They also destroyed seven Indian drones. Pakistani forces also targeted and destroyed Indian army brigades and check posts along the Line of Control (LoC).
Modi had claimed in 2019 that if it had Rafale jets during the Balakot operation, the result would have been different. Now in 2025, even after buying 26 more Rafales from France (making a total of 62 billions India could not stop the skilled pilots of Pakistan from shooting down three Rafale jets. This was a big embarrassment for the Indian Air Force. Even Indian defense experts like retired officer Sanjeev Kapoor admitted that Pakistan has better-trained and more professional pilots. This incident has also affected the reputation of the Rafale jet in the international market.
India didn’t stop at attacking civilians. They also targeted the Neelum-Jhelum Hydropower Plant in Pakistan. This was seen as an attempt to start a water war, similar to Israel’s actions in Gaza. Just like Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu, Indian Prime Minister Modi is trying to punish civilians by cutting off water and electricity. Attacking civilian infrastructure is a serious war crime, and the international community must hold India accountable.Pakistan’s response was different. Unlike India’s attack, which was done at night, Pakistan replied during daylight. It was a strong and brave message to the world: Pakistan will defend itself with honor. Pakistan stood firm, not only to protect its people but to show the world that aggression will never be accepted.
After the attack, Pakistan’s National Security Committee (NSC), led by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, held an emergency meeting. The meeting was attended by top military leaders like CJCSC Gen. Sahir Shamshad Mirza, ISI DG Gen. Asim Malik, and other service chiefs. All cabinet members showed full unity and support for the armed forces. The NSC gave full permission to the military to respond as needed. Pakistan strongly condemned India’s actions, calling them an act of war and a violation of international law. The country promised to respond at the time and place of its own choosing.
The international community reaction was not in India’s favor. Many countries around the world expressed concern over India’s reckless behavior. The spokesperson of the United Nations Secretary-General said they were deeply concerned. Countries like China, Russia, Qatar, France, Japan, and the UAE all called for peace and restraint. Even U.S. President Donald Trump called India’s actions “shameful.” U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said America is watching the situation closely. These reactions show that the world is now questioning India’s aggressive mindset.
Pakistan had earlier offered a fair and open investigation into the Pahalgam incident, but India rejected it. This shows that India was not interested in justice. It only wanted war. Now, Pakistan has every right-morally, legally, and militarily-to defend itself and protect its sovereignty. On the battlefield, Pakistan’s military is showing great strength. The Indian army is facing defeat in many areas along the LoC had waved white flags Pakistani forces have pushed Indian soldiers back in Poonch, Uri, and Rajouri. Indian troops are retreating. Pakistan’s military has shown professionalism, bravery, and discipline. India’s plan has failed.
The entire Pakistani nation is standing with its armed forces-Army, Navy, and Air Force. The people are proud of their defenders and ready to support them in every way. No matter what false stories India spreads, the truth is clear: Pakistan stood tall and responded with courage and pride. In the latest update, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif spoke during an emergency session of the National Assembly on Wednesday, May 7. He said that Pakistan has proof of India’s involvement in terrorism, especially in Balochistan. He confirmed that Pakistan will raise this issue on every international platform. “We are a responsible nation, but we know how to defend ourselves,” he said Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also confirmed that Pakistani jets did not cross into Indian airspace but still shot down five Indian jets, including three Rafales. Two of these jets crashed in occupied Kashmir, and one in Bathinda. He added, “This is conventional warfare. Those who thought India was ahead now know Pakistan’s true strength.”
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar called India’s airstrikes a “choreographed exercise.” He said Pakistan had intelligence about the planned attack in advance. “We showed restraint. Our forces only targeted the jets that dropped bombs. Otherwise, we could have taken down 10-12 jets,” he said. “We are not in favor of war, but we will defend our country and people at all costs.” The message is clear: India started this, but Pakistan will finish it-at a time and place of its own choosing. Until then, the brave sons and daughters of Pakistan remain ever ready to defend their land.
