ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has said that entire Pakistani nation, including the civil and military leadership, stands by Kashmiris in their just struggle for right to self-determination.
In his message on Kashmir Martyrs Day on Monday, the foreign minister said that Pakistan will continue supporting Kashmiris until they achieve freedom from the Indian occupation.
The minister said that Prime Minister Imran Khan raised a forceful voice for the right of Kashmiris at every international forum, including the United Nations, and tried to present the case of Kashmir as an ambassador of Kashmir.
Qureshi said that India is being gradually exposed, and the entire world saw India’s embarrassment at the hands of China at Ladakh. He said China believes that India has been occupying several disputed territories of China and Pakistan.
The foreign minister urged the Muslim Ummah to raise voice for the oppressed Kashmiris. He said India used different tactics to suppress the Kashmiris’ resolve for freedom struggle, but it failed in it.
Separately, in a tweet, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that no occupation can subjugate spirit of brave Kashmir. He also paid tribute to courage of 22 sons of Jammu and Kashmir who rendered their lives on this day in 1931 in the face of brutal Dogra forces.
The minister said that brave Kashmiris have regalvanised decades old struggle for self-determination, an inalienable right for which Kashmiris will continue to die for this day. – TLTP
