Pakistan to feature three pacers in Rawalpindi Test against Bangladesh

Pakistan plans to include three fast bowlers in the first Test of the two-match series against Bangladesh at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, beginning on August 21, as reported by Geo News, citing sources.

According to the sources, the team will field one spinner alongside three fast bowlers: Shaheen Afridi, Naseem Shah, and Mir Hamza, as the pitch at Rawalpindi is expected to favor pace bowlers.

The two ICC World Test Championship matches will be held in Rawalpindi (August 21-25) and Karachi (August 30-September 3).

Regarding the batting order, Test captain Shan Masood is set to bat at number three, while former captain Babar Azam will take the number four spot. Opener Abdullah Shafiq’s place in the lineup remains secure, and Mohammad Huraira is a strong contender for his Test debut.

Bangladesh’s cricket team arrived in Lahore from Dhaka on August 13 for the two-match series. They were escorted to a private hotel under strict security measures after landing at Allama Iqbal International Airport.
