Pakistani Doctors Playing Important Role In National Economy

KARACHI: President College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan Professor Shohaib Shafi has said that CPSP is playing vital role in the national economy that our post-graduate doctor’s remittance balance our trade gap when he was sharing the silent features of CPSP International Conference on Medical Education 2023, here at CPSP head office, Thursday.
He said that we are proud on our institution that CPSP is the centre of excellence in Medical education of the Muslim World and we are establishing our centres across the globe, our gradates are playing the leading role in Muslim countries.
He said that Medical Educationists from across the globe will be gathering in Karachi during this week to participate the Conference on Medical Education being held from Jan 13 to 14 at CPSP, Karachi.
The event is being organised by the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP) in collaboration with Colleges of Medicine of South Africa under the theme ‘Changing Paradigms in Postgraduate Medical Education’.
Prof. Syed Khalid Ahmed Ashrafi, Vice-President of CPSP added that we have already successfully conducted around 80 plus workshops all over the country in different institutions and CPSP regional centres located at Lahore, Islamabad, Peshawar, Hyderabad, Faisalabad, Nawabshah, Larkana, Bahawalpur, Abbottabad and Multan.
We have also conducted a symposium and we will be starting the proceedings of the full medical education conference after a brief inaugural session to be presided by the CPSP President and President of CMSA.
Moreover he said that our trainers are bringing innovation in advanced medical education and after COVID-19 our services are appreciated all over the world.
In Q/A session regarding comparison between Royal College of Edinburg (UK) and CPSP President CPSP Shohaib Shafi said that we have lowest fees structure and did not exceeded our fees from the last sixteen years even our Kindergarten fees is more than CPSP that is just Rs.1500.
Responding to one more question regarding innovation in surgical practice he said that our Patron-in-Chief CPSP Dr Zafar ullah Chaudhry conducted lap chole (laparoscopic surgery) in 1991.
