ABU DHABI (UAE): Pakistan Embassy in the United Arab Emirates organized an event at its premises to celebrate the Christmas along-with Pakistani Christian expatriate community. This event was also attended by women, children and elderly members of the community.
Speaking at the occasion, Ambassador Faisal Niaz Tirmizi conveyed best wishes for the Christmas celebrations and highlighted the importance of interreligious and intercultural harmony. He said that the Pakistani Christian community in the UAE was an important component of the diaspora. He recalled their important contribution in Pakistan as well as UAE’s socio-economic progress. He praised the UAE’s leadership and government for hosting more than 200 nationalities in the country and providing them with employment as well as culture of peace and tolerance.
Paster Rufus Khokhar from Church of Pakistan also spoke on the occasion.
In conclusion, Ambassador Tirmizi joined all the participants in the cake cutting ceremony.
