Pakistani snooker players Asjad Iqbal and Awais Muneer have progressed to the knockout stages of the IBSF World 6 Red Snooker Championship 2024, being held in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. Asjad earned a direct berth in the pre-quarterfinals after an impressive performance in the group stage, where he remained undefeated. His victories included a dominant 4-1 win over India’s Pandurangaiah and a thrilling 4-3 triumph against Iraq’s Alijalil Ali.
Awais Muneer also impressed by reaching the last-20 round, following a solid 4-1 victory over Singapore’s Jia Jun Ong. However, he faced a tough challenge in his second match of the day, narrowly losing 4-3 to Israel’s Shachar Ruberg despite an early lead. Both players now prepare for their upcoming knockout-stage matches as they seek to bring further glory to Pakistan.
