KARACHI: The House of Amir Adnan unveiled its Summer 2025 collection, Nakhlistan, in a groundbreaking showcase at Area 51, Karachi. Conceptualized as an immersive journey into a desert oasis, the collection blended ancient mystique with contemporary elegance, offering silhouettes that flowed like water across a vast terrain and textures that whispered of survival, softness, and storytelling, says a Press release.
But beyond the fashion, the evening marked a milestone in the brand’s storied history. It was the official transition of leadership to Parishae Adnan, who stepped into her role as CEO of the House of Amir Adnan. A visionary designer and a fierce advocate of sustainability, Parishae brought a new era of purpose and innovation to the iconic label, honoring its legacy while steering it toward a future rooted in cultural depth, modern relevance, and responsible luxury
“Nakhlistan – meaning oasis – symbolizes a sanctuary of hope amidst vast, uncertain landscapes. For me, my Nakhlistan is my company and all the people I get to work with each day. We as humans need a network of support around us to remind us we are not alone, and that there is always something to look forward to. I hope this show symbolizes a beacon of light for anyone who needs a reason to keep moving forward,” shared Parishae Adnan.
The Nakhlistan Summer 2025 collection was a seamless blend of tradition and innovation, brought to life through muted desert tones, mirage-kissed pastels, and deep shadowed blacks that closed the show with quiet intensity. Silhouettes alternated between fluid drapery and structured tailoring, showcasing styling with both strength and grace. Asymmetrical embroideries, signature silk linings inscribed with Nakhlistan motifs, and intricate detailing reflected Parishae’s unwavering commitment to craft and authenticity.
The showcase drew a high-wattage guest list across the creative, fashion, and entertainment industries. Notable attendees included actors Ahad Raza Mir, Ahsan Khan, Khushhal Khan, Azfar Rehman, and Ali Rehman. Esteemed designers and proud parents Huma Adnan and Amir Adnan were also present to show their support, along with theatre powerhouse Nida Butt and philanthropist Ronak Lakhani. Media trailblazers Seema Taher Khan and Saqib Malik graced the evening, while art patron Imran Kureishi added to its cultural weight.
Bringing Nakhlistan to life was a collective act of artistry. Makeup and hair were led by the iconic Nabila’s team, adding quiet drama and ethereal depth to each look. Zinc, the talent partner, brought together a cast of 53 models, making this one of the largest showcases of the season. Omer Saeed designed a soundscape that moved like wind through sand, adding an immersive and cinematic element to the set. Lighting by Ayesha Noor Kurd transformed the space into shifting states of sun, shadow, and mirage. The show was choreographed and directed by theatre visionary Nida Butt, whose eye for rhythm infused the runway with emotion and movement. Fashion and casting director Tabesh Khoja curated the show with editorial precision, ensuring each moment felt spontaneous yet impeccably styled. Venue partner Area 51 provided the perfect terrain, an ethereal bridge between reality and dream.
Nakhlistan was not just a collection. It was a statement and a shift. For the House of Amir Adnan, it marked the end of one era and the conscious beginning of another. Legacy here is not preserved in stillness, but evolved through vision. Parishae Adnan did not simply inherit a name; she redefined it in motion, crafting a new language of fashion that honors the past while daring to imagine the future.
