UAJK’s Engineering Program Receives Re-Accreditation from PEC
MUZAFFARABAD: Pakistan Engineering Council in its 108th EAB meeting held on 08 December, 2022 at PEC HQ, Islamabad, decided to award Level-II Re-Accreditation for the Engineering Programs (BS-Electrical Engineering & BS Software Engineering) being offered at the University of Azad Jammu & Kashmir-Muzaffarabad, says a Press release.
Based on Satisfactory Assessment of Outcome-Based Assessment procedure B.Sc Software Engineering was granted re-Accreditation for two consecutive sessions 2018 & 2019, and B.Sc Electrical Engineering Re-Accreditation was granted and recommended for consecutive two Sessions 2018 and 2019.
Evidently, it’s a great milestone achieved by the Faculty of Engineering and it was only possible under the visionary leadership of Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kaleem Abbasi, Vice Chancellor UAJK, continuous efforts of highly qualified faculty and facilities provided by the institution.
The accreditation under Washington Accord will provide new opportunities to the engineering graduates of the institute and remove barriers in their international mobility for jobs and higher studies in technologically advanced countries.
Moreover, this level II re-accreditation will open new horizons for the engineering aspirants to pursue their studies in a prestigious institute like The University of Azad Jammu & Kashmir Muzafarbbad.
