KARACHI: Addressing the “Kashmir Seminar” on Black Day at Jamia Islamia Clifton, Sindh Caretaker Interior Minister (Retd) Brigadier Haris Nawaz has said that Kashmir is the aorta of Pakistan and the people of Kashmir and Pakistan are one. They have great love for each other and with the freedom of Kashmir, Pakistan will be complete, says a Press release.
He further said that he is sure that Kashmir will be free soon and the people of Kashmir will get the right of self-determination soon. He said that the caretaker government comes for a short period and with a specific mandate, but we are trying hard to serve the people and move forward seriously in solving the problems of Karachi in particular.
Mufti Abu Hurairah Muhyiddin, chairman of Majlis Saut Ul Islam Pakistan, while addressing the seminar, said that the history of violation of human rights and violence in Kashmir is a cause of concern for all of us, Kashmir and Palestine are burning issues for the United Nations and It is impossible to establish peace in the world without solving the problems.
Expressing deep concern over the situation in Gaza, he appealed to the international powers to play an active role in improving the situation and ceasefire and to open a safe way for humanitarian aid to Gaza.
Well-known journalist and writer Saeed Khawar said that the entire nation is united on the issue of Kashmir and no solution can be imposed on Kashmiris which is unacceptable to them. He said that our rulers will have to take a serious attitude on the Kashmir issue.
Addressing the seminar, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam leader Qari Muhammad Usman said that support and assistance to Kashmir is the first priority of the people of Pakistan and for solidarity with the Palestinian people, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam will hold a protest demonstration in Karachi on November 2.
The leader of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, Ghulam Mustafa Advocate, while speaking, said that Kashmir is very important for Pakistan and whenever Pakistan Muslim League came to power, we have highlighted it at the international level.
Mufti Shah Hussain Gardezi, a prominent religious scholar, while addressing the seminar, said that the world understands power as the language of power and unfortunately, we are helpless and constrained in the current situation of the Muslim Ummah and this is the reason why our voice has no effect.
Mufti Abubakar Mohiuddin, Maulana Kamaluddin, Muhammad Advocate and many other leaders also spoke and expressed solidarity with the Kashmiri people and condemned the usurpation of Kashmir by India.
