“PFF Bans 22 Officials for Life Over Parallel Association and Hostile Takeover”

The Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) Disciplinary Committee has imposed a lifetime ban on 22 former officials, including Syed Ashfaq Hussain Shah, Amir Dogar, and Sardar Naved Haider, for their involvement in creating a parallel football association and leading a hostile takeover of PFF offices. The committee, after a thorough review, found these individuals in violation of Article 70 of the PFF Constitution. As a result, they have been declared persona non grata and banned from all football-related activities for life.

The decision also addresses the events of March 27, 2021, when the PFF House was forcibly taken over, leading to Pakistan’s suspension from FIFA. Those involved in the takeover have been ordered to return all PFF assets within seven days, with the threat of criminal charges if they fail to comply. The PFF has directed all affiliated units to enforce this decision and warned that any contact with the banned individuals will result in penalties. The PFF Secretariat has been instructed to communicate this decision to FIFA and the Asian Football Confederation (AFC).
