Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif awarded Rs2.5 million to Mohibullah, an excavator operator who bravely rescued a family stranded in the flood-hit Qilla Abdullah area of Balochistan. The ceremony took place on Wednesday at the Prime Minister’s House, where the PM praised Mohibullah’s courageous actions, stating, “The whole nation, including me, feels proud of you. I deeply adore your love for humanity.”
Mohibullah had risked his life to save the stranded family, fulfilling what the prime minister called a national responsibility. In addition to the cash reward, the prime minister announced free education up to the university level for Mohibullah’s children and cost-free healthcare for his family.
“This is an honor for me to meet the prime minister of Pakistan. I never thought so. While rescuing the stranded family, I never knew that the act would get that much publicity countrywide,” Mohibullah expressed during the meeting, thanking the prime minister for acknowledging his heroic efforts.
Federal cabinet members Attaullah Tarar, Jam Kamal Khan, Shaza Fatima Khawaja, Chairman of the PM Youth Programme Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan, PM’s Coordinator Romina Khurshid Alam, and other senior officials were present at the event.
