PM Shehbaz Embarks on Two-Day Official Visit to Saudi Arabia

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will begin a two-day official visit to Saudi Arabia today, accompanied by a high-level delegation, the Foreign Office announced Thursday.

During his stay, the prime minister is scheduled to hold important talks with Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, with the agenda focusing on strengthening bilateral cooperation in trade, investment, regional stability, and the collective welfare of the Muslim world.

The statement added that Prime Minister Shehbaz will convey Pakistan’s appreciation to the Saudi leadership for its “constructive role” in easing recent tensions between Pakistan and India.

The visit comes as Hajj rituals are underway in the Kingdom, and Eid ul Adha is set to be observed there tomorrow, adding symbolic significance to the prime minister’s diplomatic engagement.

Strategic Ties and Shared Priorities

Highlighting the deep-rooted partnership between the two countries, the Foreign Office underscored that the visit reaffirms the enduring relationship built on shared faith, mutual trust, and strategic alignment.

The two sides are also expected to discuss expanding economic and diplomatic ties in line with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 and Pakistan’s national development goals.

“The visit is expected to further deepen Pakistan-Saudi Arabia relations and create new opportunities for broad-based cooperation,” the statement concluded.
