ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders Fawad Chaudhry and Hammad Azhar on Saturday claimed victory on 16 seats out of 20 seats in the Punjab by-election.
The PTI leaders addressed a joint press conference at the residence of former minister Hammad Azhar and alarmed not to accept the election results if contrary to survey reports.
The PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry said that there was rigging at the very beginning of the election as Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shehbaz has broken all the records of usage of the government machinery for rigging the by-elections.
He said that it is also a part of the pre-poll rigging that the cases were registered against whoever joined the PTI before the by-elections in Punjab.
While PTI Punjab head Ejaz Chaudhary claimed that his party will win with a huge majority in the by-elections to be held today.
Ejaz Chaudhry announced that PTI will not accept the results if there is rigging and the results are contrary to the public opinion and survey.
Hammad Azhar said that the government is threatening his party workers and voters to change the election results. He urged ECP to take notice of it. – NNI
