KARACHI: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Sindh chapter conducted a train march from Karachi to Sukkur on the occasion of Yaum-e-Istehsal-e-Kashmir, which was observed across the country and other parts of the world on Wednesday to express solidarity with Kashmiri people.
PTI Member Provincial Assembly (MNA) from Sindh Haleem Adil Sheikh symbolically labelled the train as ‘Srinagar Express’.
Haleem Adil Sheikh said that the train march was conducted by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Youm-e-Istehsal to show solidarity with the people of Indian Occupied Kashmir (IoK). The participants raised slogans for Kashmir’s freedom.
Sindh Governor Imran Ismail, Leader of the Opposition in the Sindh Assembly Syed Firdous Shamim Naqvi and other PTI Sindh chapter leaders participated in the train march.
Meanwhile, the provincial ministers of Sindh Wednesday urged the United Nations and other world powers to resolve the issue of Indian Occupied Kashmir (IoK) in accordance with the UN resolutions and the aspirations of Kashmiris and to protect the region from expansionist ambitions of Narendra Modi.
These views were expressed by provincial ministers Mukesh Kumar Chawla and Jam Ikramullah Dharejo, and Special Assistant to Sindh CM, Syed Qasim Naveed Qamar, on Youm-e-Istehsal.
Provincial Minister for Excise & Taxation and Narcotics Control & Parliamentary Affairs Mukesh Kumar Chawla said that oppression of all minorities in India, including Muslims, should be stopped. Minorities in Pakistan have complete freedom to practice their religion. Chawla further said that it is unfortunate that Modi has changed the constitutional status of Occupied Kashmir and intensified the oppression and barbarism against Muslims there. The curfew imposed in the valley should be lifted immediately and the people there should be given the right to live.
Provincial Minister for Industries & Commerce and Anti-Corruption & Cooperative Department, Jam Ikramullah Dharijo said that the issue of Occupied Kashmir should be resolved in accordance with the UN resolutions and the aspirations of the people of Occupied Kashmir while Narendra Modi’s expansionist ambitions pose a serious threat to peace in the region.
This threat must be stopped so that the people of the region can breathe a sigh of relief. He added, “Pakistan’s desire for peace should not be considered as a weakness.”
Syed Qasim Naveed Qamar said that the hearts of the people of Pakistan beat with the Muslims of Occupied Kashmir. The United Nations should resolve the issue of Occupied Kashmir on a priority basis.
Qamar further said that the people of Sindh are ready for all kinds of moral and constitutional cooperation for the liberation of occupied Kashmir and hopefully a peaceful solution to this problem will be found soon. – TLTP
