Chief Minister Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, has taken notice of a motorcyclist’s injury caused by a kite string in Kahna, Lahore. She requested a detailed report from the Inspector General of Police (IGP) and directed authorities to provide the best medical treatment to the injured individuals, including children.
In a message on World Rose Day, dedicated to cancer patients, CM Maryam Nawaz also expressed her commitment to improving cancer care in Punjab. She mentioned plans for the first government-level cancer hospital in Lahore and the establishment of cancer treatment centers in every district, ensuring free and quality care for patients across the province.
Regarding the upcoming MDCAT exam, the CM encouraged students to persevere in their hard work and directed the relevant authorities to ensure smooth arrangements at examination centers with strict security measures in place.
In a meeting focused on transforming Punjab’s agricultural sector, the CM announced initiatives for farmers, including subsidies for seeds, fertilizers, and drip irrigation. The government will also promote off-season cultivation of onions and tomatoes to reduce artificial inflation, ensuring their availability for six months a year. Additionally, plans to start agricultural machinery rental services on a no-profit, no-loss basis were approved, benefiting farmers across the province.
