RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa has said that Prime Minister Imran Khan has given a clear vision regarding peace and connectivity in the region and all elements of national power are united towards making that vision a reality.
The Chief of Army Staff said this while talking to a delegation headed by Ambassador Zalmay Khalilzad, US Special Representative for Afghanistan Reconciliation, which called on him here at General Headquarters (GHQ) on Monday, said the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). Pakistan’s Special Representative for Afghanistan, Ambassador Mohammad Sadiq was also present on the occasion.
The Army Chief said that Prime Minister Khan’s vision regarding connectivity in the region will ensure long awaited peace, progress and prosperity in the region.
The visiting dignitary greatly appreciated Pakistan’s role in the ongoing peace process and said that it could not have succeeded without Pakistan’s sincere and unconditional support.
The matters of mutual interest, regional security and ongoing Afghan reconciliation process were discussed during the meeting, according to the ISPR. – TLTP
