Saheefa Jabbar Khattak Shares Her Gritty Fitness Journey and Mental Health Struggles

TORONTO: Pakistani model and actress Saheefa Jabbar Khattak, known for her powerful performances in Beti, Bhool, Rafta Rafta, and Log Kya Kahain Gay, is once again making headlines—not for a project, but for her remarkable fitness transformation and the deeply personal journey behind it.

Now settled in Canada with her husband, Saheefa has been candidly documenting her lifestyle, routines, and personal growth. In her latest Instagram post, she shared an emotional and inspiring account of how consistency, support, and self-discipline helped her transform not only her body, but also her mindset.

“Even before moving to Canada, I kept telling my trainers that I wouldn’t be able to do this without them,” she wrote. “There were days my gym partners and friends would literally bang on my door to drag me out of bed. From sharing protein shakes to deep conversations about life and mental health—those moments meant everything.”

She gave heartfelt thanks to her trainers Murtaza and Amna, and her gym partner Sally, acknowledging their role in helping her push through breakdowns and self-doubt.

“It’s never easy to leave the bed and force yourself to work out. There will be days when you feel nauseous, fatigued, and hopeless… But all of it—gets better. You start seeing changes. In your body. In your mindset. In how you show up for yourself. And suddenly… all that pain becomes part of your power.”

Saheefa also opened up about feeling adrift since moving, admitting she hasn’t been eating right and is struggling to find her rhythm again:

“It’s been almost three weeks since I got here, and I feel like all the gains and progress I made have slipped. I miss my trainers. I miss that support system.”

Importantly, she emphasized the connection between fitness and mental health, encouraging others to explore the gym as a tool for healing:

“If you’re struggling, go to the gym. Find a good trainer. For the longest time, I thought that was an oversimplified solution. But movement helps. Having the right people around helps. It takes time, but it’s worth it.”

Saheefa also shared her post-workout breakfast formula:

  • 2 scoops of protein powder

  • 1 scoop of creatine

  • 1 scoop of collagen peptides

“Exactly what my body needs to refuel,” she wrote, signing off with gratitude and determination to regain her momentum.
