SHARJAH (UAE): The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) held the first meeting of the founding members of the Pakistan Business Council at its headquarters.
Launched earlier this month, the council aims to strengthen investment and trade links between the business communities of Sharjah and Pakistan for mutual benefits and contributing to sustainable economic development in both regions.
During this pivotal meeting, the first elected body of the Pakistan Business Council was established through a show of hands from the founding members. Dr. Syed Muhammad Tahir was elected as the Chairman of the Council, Syed Saleem Akhtar elected for the position of First Vice Chairman.
Amer Hassan was elected as the Second Vice Chairman, while Salman was appointed as Honorary Secretary of the Council.
All designated members were elected unanimously by the founding members, reflecting a strong commitment to collaboration and growth within the business community.
The formation of the Pakistan Business Council is expected to significantly enhance the volume of trade and investment exchanges between Sharjah and Pakistan, paving the way for new opportunities and partnerships that will benefit both nations.
