Addressing Corruption in Lesco
Separately, Shehbaz ordered an investigation into illegal reinstatements of officers dismissed for corruption in the Lahore Electric Supply Company (Lesco).
- A high-level committee will complete its investigation within 10 days.
- Allegations include bribery in officer rehiring and purchasing equipment from an international firm.
- Earlier, Nepra fined Lesco Rs10 million for failing to meet safety directives, including the required earthing of utility poles.
