ABU DHABI – June 5, 2025:
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday met with United Arab Emirates (UAE) President and Ruler of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, during his official visit to the Gulf nation, reaffirming the enduring brotherly ties between the two countries and their shared commitment to deepening cooperation across multiple domains.
According to a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office, the two leaders discussed a wide range of bilateral, regional, and global issues of mutual interest, expressing satisfaction over the positive trajectory of Pakistan-UAE relations.
PM Shehbaz thanked the UAE leadership for its constructive diplomatic role in easing tensions between Pakistan and India, and commended the Emirates for its continued efforts to promote peace, dialogue, and regional stability.
Both sides agreed to enhance collaboration in key sectors including trade, investment, energy, infrastructure, and technology. They also vowed to maintain close coordination to advance the shared goals of regional peace and prosperity.
The Prime Minister reiterated his invitation to Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed to undertake an official visit to Pakistan.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi, Information Minister Ataullah Tarar, and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Syed Tariq Fatemi.
Earlier, while addressing a special event celebrating Pakistan’s participation in London Tech Week 2025, hosted in Abu Dhabi with international stakeholders, PM Shehbaz highlighted the country’s unwavering commitment to digital transformation, youth empowerment, and global tech engagement.
He congratulated the Ministry of IT, PSEB, TDAP, and Pakistani tech entrepreneurs for showcasing Pakistan as a forward-looking, innovation-driven nation. “Pakistan’s presence at such a prestigious platform reflects our growing digital footprint and global ambition,” he said.
“Pakistan’s tech future is bright,” the prime minister remarked, lauding the vision and purpose demonstrated by the country’s tech ecosystem.
