Sugar retail price down to Rs180 per kg as action viz hoarders yield results

LAHORE: The retail price of sugar has reduced to Rs180 per kg, thanks to the vigorous action against hoarders across the country.
The ex-mill sugar rate is now Rs155 per kg, while it is being sold at Rs165 per kg in the wholesale market.
In Peshawar, sugar is being sold at Rs180 per kg, while it is available at Rs170 per kg in Lahore and Karachi.
In Multan, sugar is being sold at Rs165 per kg and its price in Pakpattan is Rs175-180 per kg.
A significant decrease of up to Rs5 per kg has been witnessed in several cities. – NNI
