KARACHI: Governor of Sindh Kamran Khan Tessori, said that Pakistan and Turkiye are time-testing friends they will stand for each other we are once again blessed with the opportunity to reflect on our Spirituality and our faith, he was talking to the media at an Iftar Dinner hosted by the Consulate General of Turkiye and TIKA at Consulate premises. The Iftar Dinner we’re attended by Saeed Ghani, Senior Minister of Sindh, Chief Secretary Dr. Mohammed Sohail Rajput, Commissioner Karachi Mohammed Iqbal Memon, Karachi Police Chief AIGP Javed Adho, Diplomats from Germany, Japan, France, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Indonesia, Qatar, Oman, UAE, Vietnam, Chairman TDAP Zubair Motiwala, high arm forces officials, a large number of Turkiye Nationals and elite of the town. Governor Tessori said that we are in the last week of Ramadan now may our Feast, Prayers, and Good Deeds be accepted in the sight of the Almighty Allah. Ameen.

Cemal Sangu, Consul General of Turkiye in Karachi said that today is a very special day and we are very much pleased to have here 4 heroes of the Pakistani search and rescue team who went to Turkiye, and also Philanthropists, Compassionate and merciful heroes, NGO’s Universities, Schools, individuals who extended helping us during the earthquake disasters
Turkiye envoy said I would like to convey our deepest gratitude to all of you for all your praying, concern, support, and solidarity during the earthquake.
Last year unfortunately we had a flood disaster here in Pakistan and Türkiye was the first country to rush to help our brothers and sisters here. And this year Pakistan was one of the first countries that rushed to help us over there. Türkiye and Pakistan enjoy exemplary fraternal relations. It is so special that words are short to define it. We are two countries but we consider ourselves one nation, one heart, and one soul.
This year, due to the earthquake disaster, we welcome Ramadan in Turkey with sadness and we spend it sadly.
In this earthquake, unfortunately, more than 50 thousand people lost their lives and hundred thousand people were injured. We wish almighty Allah’s mercy on departed souls and we wish patience to the relatives of those who lost their lives in the earthquake. We wish all the wounded a speedy recovery.
During the earthquake, search and rescue teams from all over the world, especially Pakistan, rushed to the region. We are thankful to all of them.
He said that there were more than 80 Pakistani search and rescue team members who were present in the region early morning on the second day. Alhamdülillah they saved 28 lives under the debris.
From the very beginning of the earthquake, we had the helping and compassionate hands of our Pakistani brothers and sisters. They all stood with us side by side in these testing times.
CG said that the Pakistani Government has established air, sea, and land bridges to organize its aid operations. More than 75 thousand tents, thousands of blankets, and thousands of other relief goods have been shipped to Türkiye. They send more than 40 aircraft, 22 tracks, 2 navy ships, and 2 commercial cargo vessels.
In this earthquake, in which 50 thousand people were lost, search and rescue teams from all over the world, primarily Pakistan, rushed to the region.
Turkiye envoy condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in the earthquake.
They are already in a state of martyrdom. Therefore, the lovers are neighbors to their beloved.

More than 35 thousand personnel were actively involved in the region as a search and rescue team alone.
11,320 search and rescue teams from 90 different countries of the world supported us in this process.
He said that until the last moment, we continued our search and rescue efforts.
We struggled to reach every single one of our people and to save another life.
We have also witnessed countless miracles that brought us all to tears.
Thankfully we were able to save thousands of people from injuries.
Mr. Sangu said despite the pitch black of the night, the frosty winter, and the heavy rains that fell for a few days without interruption, they never gave up.
gave us this happiness at the cost of risking our own life. We are grateful to them. They have a special place in our nation’s hearts.
You have given hope to many mothers, fathers, brothers, and sisters who are anxiously waiting with their hands on their chests for every life you have taken from the ruins.
I would like to emphasize that the sacrifices of the search and rescue teams will never be forgotten.
Even if we, as servants, forget, I believe that Almighty Allah will record it in their merits.
Even if we, as servants, I believe that my Lord will save it to your reward.
