Tolerance involves recognising HRs, freedoms while respecting each other’s perspectives: Shah

KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah in his message on International Day for Tolerance, said that tolerance involves recognising human rights and freedoms while respecting each other’s perspectives.
According to the chief minister, tolerance is deeply ingrained in our culture, allowing people of all religions and diverse mindsets to live harmoniously in the land of Sindh. The Chief Minister said that Islam has always advocated for tolerance and kindness, highlighting the importance of respecting every religion and ideology.
Murad Shah explained that tolerance means practicing justice and fairness, even in the face of differences in religion, civilization, culture, language, or race. “It is through tolerance that brotherhood among different communities is established,” he remarked.
The Chief Minister also urged scholars and writers to contribute to the promotion of tolerance within society.
Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah expressed his sorrow and grief over the death of senior politician Senator Ilyas Ahmad Bilour. The CM not only remembered Ilyas Bilour as a politician but also lauded his contribution to Pakistan’s financial sector.
Shah prayed for the soul of the ANP leader and expressed his heartfelt condolences to his family.
Murad Ali Shah further condemned the heinous terrorist attack on security forces at the Shah Mardan checkpost, Kalat. “Pakistan stands shoulder to shoulder with our martyrs,” he said. “My heart goes out to the families of the martyrs and injured.”
