Trump Comments on Kamala Harris Resembling Melania in X Interview with Musk

In a highly anticipated online interview that faced significant technical delays, former U.S. President Donald Trump returned to Twitter/X, where he discussed various topics with Tesla CEO Elon Musk. The interview, which started 43 minutes late due to a “massive” cyberattack on the platform’s servers, included surprising remarks and notable endorsements.

During the conversation, Trump mentioned his increasing religious devotion following an alleged assassination attempt in Pennsylvania on July 13, an event Musk praised as a testament to Trump’s courage. Trump also pledged to build an “Iron Dome” defense system for the U.S. and promised to oversee the largest deportation of illegal immigrants in history if re-elected.

Donald Trump remarked on Kamala Harris ‘ Time Magazine cover, saying he thought the vice president resembled his wife and former First Lady Melania during his interview with Elon Musk

Musk endorsed Trump as the Republican presidential nominee, urging Americans to choose Trump over Vice President Kamala Harris, framing the decision as a pivotal moment for the nation’s future.

The interview, however, drew attention for an unexpected reason: listeners noticed that Trump appeared to speak with a slight lisp or slurred words at certain points, leading to a wave of memes comparing him to characters like Mike Tyson and Donald Duck. Trump’s spokesman denied any lisp, attributing the issue to audio problems rather than new dentures.

One of the more awkward moments came when Trump remarked that Kamala Harris resembled his wife, former First Lady Melania Trump, while discussing Harris’ appearance on the cover of Time magazine. He commented, “She looked very much like our great first lady, Melania,” though he seemed to mispronounce Harris’ name, saying “Camilla” instead of Kamala.

The interview, which lasted over two hours, also touched on Trump’s criticism of President Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, with Trump claiming Harris was responsible for damaging San Francisco and California during her tenure as Attorney General. Musk questioned whether Harris was tough enough to stand up to international leaders.

Despite the technical issues and controversial remarks, the interview attracted significant attention, with 1.2 million people tuning in live and a promotional post garnering 93 million views.

The Harris campaign responded, criticizing Trump’s “extremism” and the “dangerous Project 2025 agenda,” calling it a campaign serving “self-obsessed rich guys” like Musk and Trump. The interview, described by Musk as a “conversation,” ended with Musk blaming the delay on a Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attack on X’s system, a claim he linked to the Democrats.
