Vivian Jenna Wilson, the estranged daughter of X founder Elon Musk, recently took to Meta’s platform Threads to publicly criticize her father, accusing him of dishonesty and adultery. In a series of posts, Wilson, a 20-year-old transgender woman, condemned Musk for allegedly lying about her in various public forums, including interviews, books, and social media. She also referred to him as a serial adulterer from “Apartheid South Africa.”
Wilson shared a screenshot of a post on X (formerly Twitter) where a user praised Musk for balancing his busy lifestyle with family time, citing a 2014 CBS Mornings appearance with his former wife Talulah Riley and their children, including Wilson. Musk responded to the post by claiming all his sons were “super happy.” Wilson countered this by accusing Musk of trying to falsely portray himself as a caring father, describing his efforts as “pathetic.”
Wilson further alleged that Musk misgendered her and spread false narratives about her being a “brainwashed neo-Marxist” and communist who was coerced into becoming transgender. She criticized Musk for his lack of genuine concern about climate change despite his involvement in the electric vehicle industry, accusing him of disillusioning people with his actions.
In addition, Wilson highlighted Musk’s comments during an interview with Jordan Peterson, where he referred to her by her deadname and described gender-reassignment surgery as “child mutilation and sterilization.” Musk claimed he was misled into signing documents related to Wilson’s gender transition during the COVID-19 pandemic and expressed regret, stating that he “lost” his son. Wilson responded to these remarks by defending gender-affirming care, which she emphasized is a valid and life-saving method for those navigating their gender identity.
