1700 temporary passports issued to Pak immigrants from Milan CG: Manzoor

MILAN (Italy): Consul General Milan Dr. Manzoor Ahmed Chaudhry works hard to help Pakistani community members in Milan. Every day he meets hundreds of people to provide legal assistance here in Milan. Especially in these days, when Italian government has announced the call of immigration for illegal people living in Italy since 8 March 2020.
Pakistan Consulate General Milan received thousands of requests from Pakistani community people who do not have their valid documents to prove themselves as a Pakistani citizens. However, CG Milan used a smart way to validate their requests. He conducts face-to-face interviews of the applicants and asks some general knowledge questions to the applicants. CG added that now a days, I conduct 10-15 face-to-face interviews, however, we issued 1700 temporary passport documents to those immigrants who do not have a valid proof of identity.
In addition, he said, we resumed our passport section activities since 20th April 2020, and we opened our consulate to the community members before the Indian and Bangladeshi consulate general.
During the interview, he asked some basic questions of general knowledge regarding Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and his role, and got amazing response from the applicants.
He said, we are here to help our community members and we will do our best for our people.
