Chinese companies and SSWMB send the relief
goods to flood victims in affected areas of Sindh

KARACHI: Sindh Local Government Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah said that the
determination of Chinese companies is admirable, Chinese government and the Chinese people are always standing with us in difficult times.
With the cooperation of the Sindh Solid Waste Management Board and Chinese companies, goods including rations and essential items were sent to help the citizens in flood hit areas in Sindh.
Consul General China Li Bijian, MD Solid Waste Zubair Ahmed Chana, officials of the companies, Peng, CEO of Hangzhou Company, Liu, CEO of Ganzo Company and Aziz, the official of Kanji Company, Manager Joyna, Manager Shehbaz, and other officers were present.
On this occasion Nasir Hussain Shah, while talking to the media,said that there were flood disasters all over Pakistan, but the interior Sindh is more affected than the rural Sindh. People’s property and livestock have been washed away, houses have collapsed, and more than 10 million people have been affected. Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is seeking help from the international community and sent a delegation for foreign visits. We have received international aid, with which the rescue and relief work is in progress.
Later, rehabilitation work will be started, but more help is needed to deal with this vulnerable situation. This is a huge disaster. He said that there is an urgent need for ten to two
million tents in the province. He further informed that medical camps are also being set up for the flood victims. The Sindh government is utilizing all its resources for flood victims.
On this occasion, China Consul General Li Bijian said that the Chinese companies working in Sindh are contributing to these humanitarian activities. We join hands with the people of Pakistan and help them.
On this occasion, the Managing Director of Sindh Solid Waste Management Board, Zubair Ahmad Chana, while giving a briefing, said that Chinese companies are working with us in Karachi and they have contributed to relief work. He said that more than 2400 ration packs
are being provided in three districts of Sindh, which were identified by the Chief Secretary Sindh Dr. Sohail Rajput, which includes district wise 800 ration packs, mosquito nets, lotions and other essential items are being sent.
Changi Kanji Company in Sanghar District, Hangzhou Company in Nowshahero Feroze District and Gansu Company in Shaheed Benazirabad District provided goods and distributed among the flood victims by the Deputy Commissioner of each district and our officers are supervising to make it transparent said by Nasir Hussain Shah.
