KARACHI: Anchors Club hosted an iftar for its members at Karachi Press Club. Event host founder of Anchors Club, Metro1 News senior anchorperson, Program Metro Matters, Akhtar Shaheen Rind welcomed guests.
President Karachi Press Club Saeed Sarbazi, Secretary Shoaib Khan, Ex-President Imtiaz Khan Faran, Ex-Secretary Rizwan Bhatti also joined. Anchors club members Sana Ghori (Metro1 News), Mujtaba Jokhio (PTV), Siddique Sarwar (Venus HD), Mohammad Ali Soomro (Freelancer), Engineer Imtiaz Leghari (Awaz TV), Mehwish Chauhan (Freelancer), Amjad Chaudhry (7 News), Ali Nasir (AbbTakk), Ali Sarwar (HTV), Farhan Raza (ARY) and Hussain Thebo (GTV) were present.
President Karachi Press Club Saeed Sarbazi and Secretary Shoaib Khan appreciated the efforts of the founder Anchors Club Akhtar Shaheen Rind, saying that anchorpersons are the face of TV channels, they should play an active role like other sectors of the media community.
Akhtar Shaheen Rind said that they are trying to highlight the positive role of anchorpersons, build cordial relations with journalistic bodies, government organisations, institutions and people from all walks of life.
Anchors Club will soon announce incentives to enhance the professional capacity of its members and provide facilities to them, he added.
After the Iftar, the members also presented their suggestions for the Anchors Club. Later, AbbTakk TV anchorperson Ali Nasir along with Akhtar Shaheen Rind presented souvenirs to all the guests.
