KARACHI: Former Governor Sindh and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Imran Ismael Tuesday said that the present Government did not respect the judiciary, constitution and wanted to abuse rule of law in the country.
Addressing a Press conference at his residence, he said that people lost their confidence in our national institutions by looking at cheap activities faced by the family of Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) and PDM having the aim to postpone the election process.
He said that most of the Political parties have concern on current census and was rejected, declared pre-planned census to deprived the rights of Karachiites.
Imran Ismael said that an audio leak between former chief justice Saqib Nisar and the PTI lawyer Khawaja Tariq Rahim had raised so many questions.
The conversation in the audio leak of Chief Justice Mother in Laws was aimed to create rifts among the institutions and to further deepen the prevailing crisis, the country is passing through a tough economic situation, that our neighboring countries India and Bangladesh has much better economy whereas, the audio leak done for further destabilizing our economy and political situation Government is trying to stop courts from performing their duties, however, Chief Justice has the powers including the suo moto powers particularly in political matters and CJ firmly believes in supremacy of law.
He said the PTI demanded elections and started their election campaign,PTI wanted a level playing field for everyone so that no one could raise questions over the conduct of elections and their transparency.
He further said that we condemned all conspiracies against the judiciary. He said that our opponent parties in their press conferences today said that it was an era of information technology and anything could come out as it was not a matter of Pakistan only and it happened everywhere in the world so they have to face the same incidents when they are not in the Government.
PTI leader and former PTI MNA Aftab Siddiqui demanded a forensic audit into the alleged audio tape and warned to avoid dirty political strategies to prolong their regime.
