THARPARKAR: Senior Superintendent of Police, Zahida Parveen, the first woman PSP officer of Sindh Police posted in Tharparkar, has said that Thar agri sector has immense potential as well as hot tourist spot of the province when She have special conversation with media fellows from Karachi on Friday at her district Police office at Tharparkar.
She said that crime rate here is too low only few micro credits FIRs were lodged here, as well as many employment opportunities have been created here due to Power sector expansion and mineral exploration while grain farming, dairy farming and tourism sectors need to be focused that will change the destiny of this area.
She said that the world is unaware of the usefulness and potential of Thar which is a green desert looks like paradise. This area consists of a long desert which is rich in natural wealth. There are vast reserves of coal and other minerals. This district is completely peaceful. The crime rate here is negligible. The police of the district are working effectively to maintain peace in the area. He said that the government of Sindh has paid special attention to Thar.
There are some medicinal plants and Coal reserves which can attract foreign investment. The electricity obtained from here being added to the national grid. There are some power projects to which producing electricity. She said that the infrastructure facilities in Thar are good enough. If special attention is given to the tourism sector, it will be an ideal tourist destination in the world.
SSP Zahida Parveen said that education and health facilities are improving in Thar. The development of health sector is one of the top priorities of the government. He said that higher education facilities and vocational trainings is also improving. The boys and girls who completed their education from here are serving in various Organizations even the Tharis women are driving the Dumper trucks.
She said that the people of Tharparkar are very hardworking and hospitable. There are a large number of minorities living together here peacefully. She requested the media to highlight about Thar’s potential so that investment and employment opportunities will generate here.
