ABU DHABI (UAE): A Dinner was hosted by Ambassador Faisal Niaz Tirmizi for the Pakistani delegation, UAE & International Oil Companies participating in the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition & Conference (ADIPEC) at the Pakistan House.
The delegation also consisted of the leading oil companies of Pakistan. ADIPEC is the biggest energy exhibition in the Asia Pacific region. Minister for Energy, Power and Petroleum, H.E. Muhammad Ali was the Chief Guest on the occasion.
The Minister invited Pakistani and Emirati businessmen to invest in Pakistan and utilize significant incentives being offered in downstream and upstream sectors of the country, especially in setting up new refining facilities in Pakistan. He assured the support of the Government in promoting ease of doing business in Pakistan to attract foreign investments in the energy sector.
Ambassador Faisal emphasized the need to strengthen economic linkages between Pakistan and the UAE. He highlighted that ADIPEC has provided an excellent opportunity to Pakistan to engage with the world’s leading oil companies under one roof. He also noted that it was imperative for the oil sector of Pakistan to work with their counterparts to meet the rising energy needs of the country.
Ambassador Tirmizi assured the delegates of the Embassy’s unflinching support to the private sector in further advancing the business ties between the two brotherly countries.
