SHARJAH (UAE): A splendid assembly of Hazarewals residing outside Pakistan marked the Hazarewal Culture Day, organized by the Hazarewal Overseas Pakistanis Forum.
The Cultural Day of Hazara Division, hosted by the Hazarewal Overseas Pakistani Forum, was joyously celebrated at the Sharjah Social Center.
Hundreds of participants hailing from Hazara Division enthusiastically joined the event. The proceedings commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran and Naat Rasool Maqbool, followed by the playing of the national anthems of the United Arab Emirates and Pakistan, during which the audience respectfully stood.
The event spotlighted the objectives of the Overseas Pakistan Forum, highlighting the previous year’s accomplishments and welcoming all to partake in the celebration of Hazara culture from across the globe. Malik Taimur from Abu Dhabi graced the occasion along with numerous attendees from Al Ain, Ras Al Khaimah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Dubai, Sharjah, and Fujairah. Notable personalities including Abdullah Abbas, a National Television Broadcaster, Safeer Khan, Rafique Tanoli, Malik Timur, Qazi Shahzad Anzar Tanuli, and other dignitaries addressed the gathering.
Yasir Tanoli efficiently managed the responsibilities of the stage secretary, Ghulam Siddique Aawan, the Chairman of the organization, extended gratitude to everyone, highlighting the organization’s history and performance. He presented beautiful poems penned by the distinguished poet and writer, Shahnawaz Swati, dedicated to Hazarewals.
Farzana Mansoor congratulated HOPF on organizing event to celebrate Hazara Culture Day and Khalil Baig congratulated and presented captivating poems, respectively, for the Hazara community. Malik Taimur extended his congratulations for uniting the Hazara populace on a singular platform, whereas Shakeel Tanoli, the Chairman of Tanawal Welfare Organization, also conveyed his felicitations. Ashiq Khan Swati additionally congratulated everyone present.
The central president and founder, Raja Abu Bakr Effendi, delivered a brief speech, acknowledging the organization’s performance since its inception. He emphasized the strength found in unity and paid homage to Lala Banaras Khan Tanoli for his invaluable services. Commending the Hazara United cricket team, he highlighted the special place held by the Hazara Division, attracting tourists from around the globe.
The event concluded with the renowned singer Muneer Awan from the Hazara Division captivating the audience with melodious regional songs, followed by the energetic traditional dance, Kumhar, performed by the enthusiastic young Hazarewals.
