Today’s ‘It’s Glowtime’ event will mark the official introduction of Apple’s updated iPhone 16 series. Although Apple has not verified any information regarding the new handsets, opinions have given us a good idea of the camera, chipset, design improvements, and prices of the flagship devices, as they do every year.
Design of the iPhone 16:
There are rumors that Apple intends to change the iPhone 16’s design in a few ways. To begin with, it is believed that Apple would abandon the diagonal camera design of the previous model and move with a vertical camera setup, like to the iPhone X or iPhone 12. The iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus should be able to capture spatial footage with the new structure.
Additionally, it has been said that Apple will be swapping out the mute button on regular iPhone 16 models with the Action Button, which appeared on iPhone 15 Pro models the previous year. A new “Capture” button that would enable users to begin recording videos, zoom in and out, or focus on a subject could also be added by the firm in the interim.
Processor in the iPhone 16:
According to several sources, Apple’s whole iPhone 16 lineup is expected to have the same A18 chipset, which will allow AI activities to be completed on-device. However, the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro might set themselves apart from the regular models due to their faster clock speeds and better GPU performance.
Furthermore, it is expected that the RAM in the iPhone 16 series would be upgraded from 6GB to 8GB, similar to what was seen in earlier versions.
Camera on iPhone 16:
The iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus will use the same camera setup as the model from the previous year, according to a report from Apple Insider. A 48MP primary camera with an f/1.6 aperture, a 2x optical telephoto zoom, and an ultra-wide-angle lens with a 0.5x magnification are reportedly on board. With an aperture of f/2.2 rather of f/2.4 on the iPhone 15, the ultra-wide-angle shooter may see a minor update. This may theoretically allow more light to reach the sensor and improve low-light photography.
According to the source, the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus may also have capability for macro photography for the first time.
Price and display of iPhone 16:
For the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus, Apple is expecting to maintain the same 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch OLED screens with a 60Hz refresh rate. The base model’s estimated price of $800 from the previous year is likewise expected to remain.
