Leg injury causes Pakistan pacer Mir Hamza to leave the Test team.

Just ahead of the continuing third and final Test against England in Rawalpindi, Pakistan bowler Mir Hamza has been formally withdrawn from the national Test squad due to pain in his right leg.

Hamza, who had complained of mild discomfort prior to the game, was unable to take part in training sessions. The Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) medical staff will now oversee his recuperation in Karachi.

During Tuesday’s practice for Pakistan, the left-arm pacer was seen completing rehabilitation activities.

Under the supervision of physiotherapist Cliffe Deacon, Hamza substituted strengthening his glutes for bowling by using resistance bands for workouts like clam shells and glute bridges.

Hamza is anticipated to require approximately three weeks to recuperate completely, according to PCB insiders, raising concerns over his availability for Pakistan’s forthcoming white-ball trip of Australia.

This November, the Men in Green will travel to Australia for a three-match ODI and T20I series.

On October 29, the Pakistani squad will leave for Melbourne, where they will train on November 1 and 2 at the storied Melbourne Cricket Ground. Just before the first ODI on November 4, there will be an optional practice session on November 3.
