Special Report
TOKYO: The Japan Mobility Show 2025, one of the world’s most influential and forward-looking mobility exhibitions, successfully concluded today, November 9, at Tokyo Big Sight after 11 days of extraordinary attendance, breakthrough innovations, and unprecedented industry collaboration. Organized by the Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association, Inc. (JAMA) under the leadership of Chairman Masanori Katayama, the event exceeded all expectations – setting new benchmarks in participation, technology showcases, and international engagement.
Held from October 30 to November 9, the show attracted over one million visitors, reaffirming Japan’s leadership in shaping the global mobility ecosystem. A record 522 companies and organizations participated, representing the most diverse lineup in the show’s history. Beyond the major automakers, the event drew in leaders from telecommunications, information technology, electronics, artificial intelligence, robotics, and energy systems – creating a dynamic platform for cross-industry collaboration and innovation.
Among the major automotive participants, Suzuki Motor Corporation stood out with its forward-looking display themed around the company’s global vision “By Your Side” – reflecting Suzuki’s century-long commitment to mobility that is people-centric, efficient, and environmentally responsible. Suzuki’s exhibit highlighted its next-generation compact vehicles, hybrid and battery-electric (BEV) technologies, and sustainable design philosophy rooted in Sho-Sho-Kei-Tan-Bi (“Smaller, Fewer, Lighter, Shorter, Beauty”). The company also unveiled models embodying its Mid-Term Management Plan (FY2025-FY2030), which aims for carbon neutrality and continued leadership in compact mobility across key markets such as Japan, India, and Europe. Visitors were particularly drawn to Suzuki’s concept displays that integrated advanced electrification, connectivity, and future-ready mobility solutions designed to serve both developed and emerging economies.
A Platform for Vision, Innovation, and Collective Hope
With the theme “A unique opportunity to explore the future of mobility,” the Japan Mobility Show 2025 served as a global stage for innovation, imagination, and dialogue about how mobility will shape societies in the coming decades. JAMA emphasized that mobility is not merely about vehicles but represents human progress – encompassing culture, emotion, and sustainable coexistence. The show’s vision resonated strongly amid an era marked by technological disruption, environmental urgency, and shifting global dynamics.
JAMA extended its gratitude to exhibitors, visitors, international partners, and volunteers who contributed to making the 2025 edition the most successful in recent memory. “Mobility has the power to unite, inspire, and transform. In these challenging times, we are committed to strengthening cross-industry partnerships to build a brighter future powered by mobility,” JAMA stated in its closing remarks.
