The 26th Seerat-un-Nabi (PBUH) Conference, organised by the Kaneez Fatima Memorial Welfare Organization in collaboration with the Department of Culture, Government of Sindh, and for the first time, the Ideal Pakistan Foundation, emerged as a remarkable display of devotion, unity, and intellectual engagement. Held at the prestigious Muhammad Ibrahim Joyo Auditorium in Karachi, the conference brought together senior scholars, educationists, journalists, students, and prominent personalities from various walks of life.
The event highlighted the life, character, and teachings of Prophet Muhammad Mustafa (Peace Be Upon Him), emphasizing their enduring relevance for fostering harmony, moral uplift, and unity within the Muslim Ummah. This year’s conference, like its predecessors, reaffirmed the unwavering commitment of participating institutions to uphold the values of Seerat-un-Nabi through academic and spiritual engagement.
A Gathering of Distinguished Personalities
The conference was attended by a large number of respected figures from Karachi’s social, academic, and religious circles. Among those present were Syed Zulfiqar Hussain Shah, Shaukat Ali Mari, Syed Qasim Abbas, Dr. Raheem Al-Abrez, Hameeda Kashish, Asma Sheikh, Ahsan Ali Sheikh, Nadeem Moazzam Khan, Syed Hasan Shah, Professor Hassan Ali, Asghar Abbas Hasni, Sara Jafri, Iqra Khan, Mehmood Ali Qadeeri, Madam Hoor Khan, Miraj Zaheer Taji, Warisha Fatima, and Rimsha Khurram.

Senior journalist, columnist, and General Secretary Syed Muhammad Sibtain Naqvi, the principal coordinator of the conference, highlighted the long journey of the Seerat-un-Nabi (PBUH) Conference since its inception. Speaking at the event, he expressed pride in the organization’s ability to consistently hold this conference for over two decades, calling it a great honour for Kaneez Fatima Memorial Welfare Organization.
He noted that within the past year alone, the organization had successfully hosted three major Seerat conferences in partnership with the Department of Culture, Government of Sindh. This year’s edition was further strengthened through the collaboration of Ideal Pakistan Foundation, marking a new milestone.
Naqvi expressed deep gratitude to school principals, teachers, and students for their active participation and praised the exceptional standard demonstrated throughout the competitions.
A Scholar’s Perspective: Following the Prophet’s Teachings as a Path to Unity
Presiding over the conference was renowned religious scholar Allama Syed Hasan Raza Zaidi, whose keynote remarks set the tone for the event. Declaring this conference among the most successful gatherings of recent times, he applauded the participation of schools representing all sects and schools of thought-an encouraging step toward inter-sect harmony.
Allama Hasan Zaidi stressed that the noble character, teachings, and blessed life of Prophet Muhammad Mustafa (PBUH) remain the ultimate source of guidance for Muslims worldwide. He emphasized that the only path to true unity within the Muslim Ummah lies in collectively adhering to the Seerat of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).
“Only by following the life of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) can the Muslim Ummah truly unite,” he remarked, highlighting the relevance of Seerat-un-Nabi in addressing contemporary challenges.
He praised the depth of knowledge and enthusiasm displayed by students, noting that their speeches, recitations, and Naats were presented with strong faith and understanding of the Prophet’s exemplary life.
A Platform for Students: Talent, Faith and Excellence
The 26th Seerat-un-Nabi Conference also served as a powerful educational platform for students. More than 80 schools from across Karachi sent their students to participate in competitions that included speech (Taqreer), Naat recitation, and Qur’an recitation (Qira’at).
The young participants delivered their performances with passion, respect, and deep emotional connection to the subject matter. Their presentations reflected the love and reverence they hold for the Holy Prophet (PBUH).
The judges evaluated the entries strictly on merit, and students who secured first, second, and third positions in the three categories were honoured with trophies, certificates, and recognition from distinguished guests. Parents, teachers, and school administrations expressed pride in their students’ achievements and appreciated the organizers for providing a healthy, spiritually enriching platform.
Tribute to Pakistan Armed Forces and Prayers for National Stability
A notable highlight of the conference was the address by Syed Ali Asim Rizvi, Chairman of Ideal Pakistan Foundation. In his speech, he paid rich tribute to the Pakistan Armed Forces for their sacrifices in defending the nation. He offered special prayers (Fateha) for the martyrs who lost their lives in the line of duty.
Rizvi also prayed for the stability, security, and prosperity of Pakistan, urging citizens to continue supporting peace and progress. His remarks were met with heartfelt appreciation from attendees who acknowledged the critical role of national institutions in safeguarding the country.
A Celebration of Excellence and Community Spirit
At the conclusion of the event, distinguished personalities including Syed Zulfiqar Hussain Shah and Section Officer Shaukat Ali, along with Syed Ali Asim Rizvi, presented shields to prominent attendees such as rising youth leader Nasir Shah, Iqra Khan, Zulekha Raheem, Sara Jafri, Qaiser Jamal, Ahsan Ali Sheikh, and Nadeem Moazzam Khan.
