MIRE OF MEMORIES

From the drawers an album,
Long forgotten and lost,
To discover I was glad,
The recall of events sad.
Removed years of dust,
Gathered layer upon layer,
Just like wrinkles of time,
Ravaged, beauty and shine.
The good times stun,
Of all frolic and fun,
The air is filled of hope,
Memories held by a weak rope.
Pictures clad in colours,
Of shades like sky blue
Now too they seem true,
Each of distinct flavour.
Denuded stands my resolve,
Surrendered is my firmness,
The pride of steadfastness,
In ruins, in tatters, a wreck.
Yield, I did to thy game,
You never ever were same,
Unwilling was me, to play
You weren’t meant to stay.
Flooded is my mind,
Of beauteous moments
Spent upon thy tresses,
Like a serpent coiled.
From thy eyes the dews shed,
Flowing straight into my veins,
Igniting flames of passion,
Untold,  unheard, unbelievable.
Will the pictures from the album,
Step out to relive, regain, reposses,
Will the time tunnel open for me,
To sieze, now and forever,  thee.
Bloody memory that rains,
Upon the parched lands of ,
The desolate heart,hearken thee,
To step out of the album, and hugs…..
