The 12th edition of the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) will be held from March 18 to May 2 next year, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced on Thursday.
According to the PCB, the tournament window was finalised following consultations with the owners and representatives of all eight franchises during a PSL Governing Council meeting held in London on September 1.
The board said the complete match schedule, venues and ticketing arrangements would be announced at a later stage.
Preparations for PSL 12 will include direct signings, player retentions, a trade window and the player auction as franchises begin building their squads for the upcoming season.
The next edition will follow the expanded 2026 season, which featured eight teams for the first time following the addition of Hyderabad Kingsmen and Rawalpindiz. The league also moved from its traditional player draft to an auction system.
The inaugural auction in February saw 103 players signed by the eight franchises. According to the PCB, players retained or acquired through the auction were given two-year contracts covering PSL 11 and PSL 12, while franchises will be allowed to retain up to seven players for the upcoming edition.
Peshawar Zalmi won their second PSL title in 2026 after defeating Hyderabad Kingsmen by five wickets in the final at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium on May 3.
PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi said PSL 11 had set a high benchmark with thrilling matches, strong crowds and record broadcast numbers.
“HBL PSL 12 will raise the bar further,” Naqvi said, reaffirming the PCB’s commitment to delivering another competitive season featuring all eight franchises.
PSL CEO Salman Naseer said the confirmation of the tournament window marked the beginning of preparations for the next edition, with key squad-building milestones expected in the coming months.
