A farewell reception held In Honor of DSP Shabbir Memon DIG Traffic Pir Mohd Shah Grace the event as chief guest

KARACHI: A graceful event of bidding farewell to DSP Ahmed Shabbir Memon on his retirement was being held at a local banquet last day. The reception was being hosted by the SSP Traffic central, Syed Qamar Abbas Rizvi in honour of the retired police officer. DIG Karachi Traffic Police, Syed Pir Muhammad Shah grace the occasion as the Chief Guest.
DSP Ahmed Shabbir is being retired after 36 years of service in police. He joined as ASI in 1990 and served in different departments of the Force. During his service period he worked in Investigation, CIA, Security Branch. On his way to be DSP, he served as SHOs in various districts. Ahmed Shabbir is being known for having good management and investigation skills. He investigated and supervised several high profile criminal cases. According to him, he has led successful operations against organised crimes, illegal arms and ammunition and narcotics mafia.
Speaking on the occasion, SSP TRaffic, Central Syed Qamar said that Mr Shabbir was a thorough and responsible police officer, who fully discharged his duty as DSP till the last day of his job. “Shabbir, as DSP, fully realized and utilised the potential of his sub ordinates and assign right person for the right job, which ultimately help the traffic department,” he further added.
Addressing as Chief Guest, Syed Pir Muhammad Shah, DIG Karachi Traffic police, said that the leadership at police department is always standing with their personnel when and where required. It was his honor to be with them to bid farewell gracefully and honorably. He appreciated the services of DSP Shabbir and said his retirement from the police department would be considered a loss for the force since as senior leader of the police department, he recognizes the services of honest and professional officers.
He said he was all geared up to bring positive and productive changes in Karachi traffic police to provide relief to the public.
A large number of senior police officers and personnel attended the event including SSP (Rtd) Arshad Zaidi, DSP Driving License, Nazimabad, Mr Ejaz Qaimkhani, DSP Traffic Pir Nasir and SOs of the District Central.
Ahmed Shabbir presented sword of Zulfiqar Shied to DIG, Pir Muhammad Shah. He thanked SSP Traffic Central, DIG Karachi Traffic Police, and everyone who made sure to be with him on this memorable day. He said he never disposed of his duty as work but as his passion to serve and he would cherish this day as a lifelong memory.
