PJCA hosts farewell and welcome luncheon for Japanese Consulate officials in Karachi

KARACHI: The Pakistan Japan Cultural Association (PJCA) hosted a special farewell and welcome luncheon in honor of Mr. Kengo Horie, Vice Consul of Japan in Karachi, and Ms. Yuise Someya, who has recently assumed her role as the new Vice Consul at the Consulate-General of Japan in Karachi. The luncheon was held at BBQ Tonight Restaurant and was attended by distinguished guests, members of the Japanese Consulate, Consul-General of Japan Mr. Masaru Hathori, and executive members of PJCA.
President PJCA, Ms. Sadia Rashid, expressed sincere appreciation to Mr. Kengo Horie for his continuous support, dedication, and active participation in PJCA meetings and cultural programs during his tenure in Karachi. She thanked him for strengthening Pakistan-Japan relations and wished him success and prosperity in his future assignments.
Ms. Sadia Rashid also warmly welcomed Ms. Yuise Someya to Karachi and expressed pleasure in seeing a young and dynamic diplomat joining the Consulate team. She conveyed confidence that Ms. Someya’s presence would further enhance cultural and people-to-people relations between Pakistan and Japan.
The President also extended heartfelt thanks to Consul-General of Japan Mr. Masaru Hathori for attending the luncheon and acknowledged the presence and support of PJCA executive committee members and distinguished guests. Vice President Mr. Ataka also attended the event and appreciated the longstanding friendship and cooperation between Pakistan and Japan.
During the ceremony, a souvenir was presented by President PJCA Ms. Sadia Rashid as a token of appreciation and friendship.
The luncheon concluded in a warm and cordial atmosphere, reflecting the strong ties and mutual respect shared between the people of Pakistan and Japan.
