Chameleon

To the family of Chameleons,
Nature gave two hundred species,
By your natural behaviour,
The family has grown to one plus,
Two hundred variants.
Chameleons inherent skill,
Is to change colors, and too often,
Thy attitude far surpasses,
Chameleons uniqueness,
Your change of colour is frequent, too.
There was a time, not too distant
Thy word, a finality, of Truth,
Stands today wrecked by falsity,
You changed commitments, too often,
Thyself an excellence of deception.
Loss is complete of faith in
Trust,
The dodger, you are, skillful,
Dulls Bill Skies manoeuvres
Of cheat, of deciet.
In two directions a Chameleon,
Can look, to hunt for prey,
Being arboreal, the herbage masks,
Just as you hide behind facades,
Of innocence, with dagger in cloak.
Bite of Chameleons, nonpoisonous,
But thine, is blood sucking, lasting
Emotionally lethal, digging deep,
Into the softest tissues of the heart
Rendering, the victim, breathless.
Chameleons change colours
For attention,
A choice they exercise, while
The hide and seek, of thyself
To hoodwink, to cheat, is self-inspired.
In alliance with Chameleons habits
You sought investment of Deep attention,
And once in possession of undiluted love,
From the jugular vein, you drank,
And drained the body of its Soul.
Chameleons fear humans
Hence keep changing colours
To Camouflage, But
You a unique specie, is feared
By entire family of Chameleons.
Thy sting is painful
Chameleons isn’t, their
Colours change in full sight,
Expedient Duplicity is your,
Trait, hidden, covered, unseen.
Should have known for better
Befriending Chameleons,
Is no cultivation of pets.
How you changed, and short changed,
Your victims of Truth and innocence.
