KARACHI: A large number of political figures, business leaders, social personalities and members of civil society gathered on Thursday to attend the Fateha Soyem of the late mother of former Sindh Governor Muhammad Kamran Khan Tessori, who passed away in Karachi after a prolonged illness.
The Soyem ceremony, held at the Tessori residence, witnessed the presence of thousands of mourners from all walks of life who came to offer condolences and prayers for the departed soul. The gathering reflected the wide respect and goodwill enjoyed by the Tessori family across political, social and business circles of the city.
Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah attended the Soyem and personally expressed his condolences to Kamran Tessori and his family. He prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and for strength and patience for the bereaved family to bear the irreparable loss.
Among other prominent attendees were Dr. Farooq Sattar, Provincial Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, former Governor Sindh General (Retd) Moinuddin Haider, Haji Masood Parekh, Rauf Tabani, Hamza Tabani, Ikhtiar Baig, Ishtia Baig, Mubasher Mir, Ahsan Mehanti, Scout Akhtar Mir, A.K. Memon, Muhammad Jazib, Ahmed Shah, Mazhar Abbas Rizvi, Hizbullah Memon, Rehan Hanif and Hussain Thebo, along with several other notable personalities from diverse sectors.
A large number of renowned women also attended the Soyem, including Shagufta Saba, President of Aghosh Old Home. Proper and separate arrangements for ladies were made to facilitate their participation in an organized and respectful manner.
Religious scholars led the Fateha and offered special prayers, seeking forgiveness for the deceased and elevation of her ranks in the hereafter. Attendees also prayed for patience and fortitude for the Tessori family during this time of grief.
The passing of Kamran Tessori’s mother has been widely mourned across Karachi, with messages of condolence pouring in from various segments of society. Speakers at the gathering remembered the deceased as a dignified and respected figure whose life reflected grace, resilience and strong family values.
