ISLAMABAD: Pakistan set a new high for reporting the most number of Covid-19 deaths, 88, and number of cases, 3,039, in a single day, according to the data provided by National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) on Sunday.
According to the statistics, Covid-19 cases topped their previous record number of 2,636 on May 28 and were recorded at 3,039. Earlier, record number of coronavirus deaths in a single day was 78; however, now it stands at 88.
The country has so far reported 69,496 Covid-19 cases. So far, 25,056 cases have been detected in Punjab, 27,360 in Sindh, 9,540 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 4,193 in Balochistan, 2,418 in Islamabad, 678 in Gilgit-Baltistan, and 251 in Azad Kashmir.
A total of 25,271 patients have so far recovered from the virus while the death toll stands at 1,483 with 88 deaths reported during the last twenty four hours. A total of 14,972 corona tests were carried out during the last twenty four hours. – TLTP
