Dr Firdous hits out at PML-N leaders’ meet with ‘fugitives’ in UK

ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan taking aim at the Sharif family said on Sunday the entire Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has gathered at the London residence of fugitives.
Taking to Twitter, she said it is an ironic that among the PML-N leaders gathered in London for consultations on legislative matters are those wanted by law.
“All the leaders of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) are sitting with the absconders in London, she tweeted.
As is a right of every prisoner to get medical treatment, it is also the right and obligation of the law to hold violators to account, Ms Awan said.
Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan has said that those wanted by law are included in legislation process.
Making all the accused accountable for their corruption is right of law just like ensuring medical treatment to every prisoner is necessary, said Dr Firdous.
Earlier, Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan said that the incumbent government should be given at least 72 months to fix the 72-year-old system of the country.
SAPM Awan expressed that Maryam Nawaz is a convicted woman and her bail plea should be dealt as per law. “I hope that the court will announce a verdict according to the onstitution and law of the country”, she expressed.
She said that the whole nation is still awaiting the answers of 18 questions asked by the government from Shahbaz Sharif.
She said instead of responding to the money laundering allegations, PML-N spokespersons are trying to divert public attention by unduly criticizing Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government.
She said the government is fully aware of the problems confronted by the general public and necessary measures are being taken to control the price-hike.
PML-N president Shehbaz Sharif had presided over a consultative session of party leaders who reached London to enquire after the health of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif undergoing treatment there.
Former finance minister Ishaq Dar, Ayaz Sadiq, Khawaja Asif, Ahsan Iqbal, Pervez Rasheed, Khurram Dastagir, Marriyam Aurangzeb and others were present in the meeting held at a restaurant in the British capital.
After the meeting, the PML-N leaders visited the ailing ex-premier at the Avenfield apartments to enquire after his health. – NNI
