Emergency Landing at Karachi Airport After Passenger’s Death

A Colombo-bound flight made an emergency landing at Jinnah International Airport, Karachi, in the early hours of Thursday after a passenger suffered a medical emergency, ARY News reported.

According to sources, the flight was en route from Dubai to Colombo when the health of a female passenger, identified as Paloni, 57, deteriorated following a heart attack. The pilot requested permission from the Air Traffic Control (ATC) for an emergency landing at Karachi airport.

Upon receiving clearance, the flight landed at Karachi airport, where a medical team boarded the plane. Unfortunately, the medical team found that the passenger had already passed away due to a heart attack, as confirmed by Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) sources. The health officer issued a death certificate, and the flight subsequently continued its journey to Colombo with the deceased’s body on board.

This incident follows a similar event in October when an Indian-bound flight made an emergency landing at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport due to a medical emergency. In that case, Indian Airlines flight IX-192, traveling from Dubai to Amritsar, landed at Karachi at 12:19 pm after a passenger’s health worsened mid-flight.
