FLAME

Tormented, disconsolate,
Hag- ridden, outrageously
Unhappy, lies , the Soul,
In the midst of thy devilry.

Ignited by impudent love,
Stubborn, impertinent,
The Self slides into eternity
Of Hope, Promise, Glow.

Whisked off by the swain,
Blazing with passion,
With ardor, is ignited
The frozen soul.

The flash, flare, Fire,
Emiting from a face,
Luring, beauteous and enticing,
Coruscate, gleam akin to rubies.

Wasn’t thee a lunatic inamorate,
Laying around a trapping gossamer,
Kindling an innocent, committed, Love,
A ritual, a liturgy, ceremonial was thy Love.

The Flame of my flaring heart,
Beckons thee to return,
No more dawdling, will it accept,
The river must fall into an ocean.

The fear of loss of identity,
Of distinction, of uniqueness,
The two bodies shall meet,
Into the seas of humility, they shall merge.

Thy Wickedness, thy treachery,
Stark reminders of thy,
Unparalleled love, amorous,
In submission, in order.

Life is but a flickering flame,
The wick weakens each night,
Spent in the loneliness of the Soul,
The angels shall stubb at it, per His Will.
