FPCCI Committee Launches Initiative to Strengthen Business Community’s Voice

KARACHI: The Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FPCCI) Central Standing Committee on Corporate Relations & Communications held its inaugural meeting at the Sardar Yaseen Malik Room, Federation House, Karachi, marking the start of a focused effort to strengthen the voice and visibility of Pakistan’s business community.
The meeting was chaired by Convener Syed Turab Shah. Deputy Convener Masood A. Naaz joined by Zoom from Lahore.
Committee Secretary Syed Kashif Rafi, who is also Registrar of ILMA University, was among those present, together with leaders from business, media, utilities and civic institutions. They included Mahmood Ahmed Khan, Managing Director, Star Marketing; Ali Pesnani, Chairman, SBC Group; Murad Gwadari; Irum Fawad, Executive Secretary, Quaid-e-Azam House; Shahbaz Islam, Senior General Manager, SSGC; Rizwan Hafeez, Logistics Analyst, NCR Atleos Pakistan; Farah Javed, Convener, Women Entrepreneurship & Development Committee; Asma Wajid, CEO, Montage by Asma; and Irfan Hussain, Director Coordination Wing, FPCCI. Hamid Mirza also participated remotely from Lahore.
Members reviewed the committee’s engagement calendar for the coming three months and discussed a range of matters related to its mandate.
The committee resolved to organise three events over the next five months, centred on the following themes:
Artificial intelligence for business and industry, examining practical applications across sectors
Women in business and business facilitation, supporting women entrepreneurs
Digital content creation and scaling, addressing how businesses can build and grow their digital presence
The committee will also observe Iqbal Day and Quaid-e-Azam Day as part of its calendar.
